Collaborative Projects are an ARTech initiative to promote even more integration in the GeneXus community.

They are community-oriented projects aimed at short-term results. Within 3 months, a Collaborative Project should create a helpful resource or add value to the community or any GeneXus project.

If you are a community member or a student with GeneXus skills, you can propose a Collaborative Project and develop it. You can also invite your friends to join in. Share the development with others and showcase your skills and knowledge to the whole community.
How about working with team members from other countries? Try it, it works! See these existing Collaborative Projects; some of them are open for your collaboration. This is a good option if you don't have a new idea to develop but want to participate.
(What's more, there is a list of interesting ideas waiting for your entrepreneur skills.)

Companies or Universities with special interest in a project could sponsor your project. ARTech will support it too. Everyone benefits, as you can see in the section called "Collaborative Projects: participants and their benefits."

Still have doubts about the concept and roles of each participant? Please read the following section.

Formal details: Collaborative Project participants, definitions, and conditions
Collaborative Project
A community-oriented project that is run by several members (see CP Member) and brings results in the short term (less than 3 months). Within this time frame, it should create a helpful resource or add value to the community or a GeneXus project. See list of Collaborative Projects
CP Member
A person who actively participates in a CP. Any professional member of the community or student with basic knowledge of GeneXus can be one. See members of Collaborative Projects
CP Sponsor
A GeneXus customer or University that sponsors CP members to run a project. Sponsorship terms are negotiated with each project team; however, sponsorship may include: budget, software licenses or tutoring. See list of Sponsors
ARTech's Role
ARTech organizes this program and promotes the creation of Collaborative Projects. ARTech supports members by providing GeneXus licenses and certificates for participation, among other things.
