Scope

Product: GXplorer, GXquery

Introduction

When loading metadatas from GeneXus 9.0 Knowledge Bases, new concepts included in this version are taken into account, such as Description Attribute and Level Description in order to obtain a friendlier metadata for the common user and easier to administrate to supervisor users.

Description

Use of Description Attribute (Measures and Dimensions metadatas)

In this new version, when you load a Measures and Dimensions metadata from a GeneXus 9.0 Knowledge Base, the Description Attribute of the Dimension Transactions will be set as the transaction description attribute.

The criteria used in previous versions and in the current version for GeneXus 8.0 or lower Knowledge Bases is using the first Character-type attribute that does not belong to the transaction key to take the dimensions descriptions.

Use of Level Description (attributes metadatas)

When you load an attributes metadata from a GeneXus 9.0 Knowledge Base and the Folders Generation is set with One Folder per Level Transaction option, GXplorer\GXquery take into account the description of each level of the transactions (Level Description) to name the folders that will contain the attributes in the metadata.

E.g.: if you have the following transaction:

GX90NewTrans

The attributes structure generated in the metadata will be as follows:

GX90NewStruc

The criteria used in previous versions and in the current version for GeneXus 8.0 or lower Knowledge Bases is naming the directories corresponding to the levels with the name of the transaction and a sequence number. In the example, Test Level Id and Test Level Dsc attributes would be in a folder called Test1.
