Pattern Instantiation

An active pattern is basically a template that can be applied to many different situations (instances). E.g. the Work With Pattern Overview can be applied to create all the objects needed to obtain a Work With Customers or a Work With Products.

We call pattern instantiation or instantiating a pattern the process of applying a pattern to one or several situations or instances.

The inputs in a pattern instantiation process are:

• template files
• instance file(s (as many instance files as cases to which you may want to apply the pattern)

And the output is:

• a set of Genexus objects
