This article describes what the GeneXus Wiki Documentation Assistant is and the guidelines for using it.
The Documentation Assistant is a bot that lets you interact with the GeneXus Community Wiki. That is, you can ask questions to the bot and it will search the documentation available in the wiki to answer your needs.
You can find it in the bottom right corner of the GeneXus Community Wiki.
The bot is always updated to the latest GeneXus version released, and it can only answer based on the official content.
Type your question naturally just like you would ask a colleague for information.
It doesn't matter if you make spelling mistakes or use different synonyms. It is important to convey your intention to the bot correctly.
While the bot may understand technical terms, using simpler language can often provide more accurate results.
You can add a bit of context or background to your query to help the bot understand the scope of your request.
Be specific when you know what you need and clearly articulate what you're looking for to receive more accurate and relevant information.
When possible, avoid ambiguity by phrasing your questions or requests in a way that minimizes ambiguity. This helps the bot provide precise responses.
If you have a complex query, consider breaking it down into simpler parts for better comprehension.
If the initial response is not exactly what you need, consider refining your question based on the bot's response; you can ask follow-up questions to complement what you are looking for.
Experiment with different ways of phrasing your query, including synonyms and variations, to explore the bot's understanding.
Avoid asking for factual information specifying specific data related to dates.
Comparisons or contrasting information are not expected to get good results; all these use cases may require different techniques for interaction.
Note that when you ask the GeneXus Wiki Documentation Assistant a question, it assumes that the question is related to the last four queries you made before (in other words, that it is not a separate question from the previous ones). If you want your question to be independent from the previous ones, click on the "Clear" link first.
