|To set the desired format to accept and display the value for an attribute or variable.
This property is offered for attributes and variables in order to set their edition format (mask). The following table shows the possible values tan can be entered for the property:
||Indicate that a digit between 0 and 9 must be entered or shown.
||Indicate that you want to show blank when is a left zero. The Z must be in uppercase.
||IDE decimal separator representation.
||IDE thousand separator representation.
||Represent any character.
||Represent a single character in uppercase.
||Indicate that you want the full field to be entered and shown in uppercase.
Indicate negative values are displayed between parenthesis and positive values remain the same. For example, for picture (99.9) value 12 will be displayed as 12 and value -12 as (12).
Notice that the decimal separator (period character) and thousand separators (comma character) characters will be generated according to the Decimal separator property.
- For Numeric fields -for example, a Numeric(4) attribute- by default its Picture property value will be ZZZ9. That means that non-significant zeros will not be shown. If you want the zeros to the left of the number to be displayed, you must set the value 9999.
