GxPortal Applications

In addition to the usual portal management features, from version 4.2 GXportal provides a framework for the integration of web applications with a rights authentication and administration scheme that allows centralizing access to applications developed with GeneXus.

For this, GXportal has a new module (Applications) that empowers web applications integration and solves GXflow, GXplorer and GXquery transparent integration to the client interface.

The module allows setting up generic application activities and establishing access rights to the various application activities. The applications to be integrated must be developed in a web environment. You can access this module through the portal menu: Configuration / Applications.

An application is defined in a way that supports the PATO methodology (Process, Activities, Tasks, Operations) . An application might have many GXPortal Environments like development, testing, production, etc..
