Data Store Properties Compatibility in GeneXus X

We have categorized the datastore properties changes from GeneXus 9.0 to GeneXus X in the following groups:

• General.
• Java Specific.
• .Net Specific.

Note: The data store User password property is not taken into account in the convertion process; you must reconfigure it in the GeneXus X IDE.

General

New properties

• PostgreSQL version.

Property value changes

• Declare Referential Integrity: The default value has changed from No to Yes. The conversion process preserves the previous default value. Use No only for compatibility issues.
• DBMS Version: check the following changes.
  • SQL Version: changed its default value from 2000 to 2005. The following vaules have been removed: 6.x, 7.0
  • Informix Version: The following values have been removed: 7 to 7.2 and 7.3.
  • DB2 Version: The following values have been removed: 5.x, 6.0, 6.1.
  • ISeries Version: The following values have been removed: V2Rx, V3Rx and V4Rx.

.Net Specific

Property value changes

• Connection Information: Server Name for Informix with ADO.NET is no longer required.

Java Specific

New properties

• Recycle type.

Property value changes

• JDBC Driver: The default value has changed from I-Net Una/Sprinta to jTDS Driver (type 4).

 

mySQL Specific

Deleted Properties
