This article is an overview of GeneXus 15 Upgrade 8 features (compared to GeneXus 15 Upgrade 7) and what needs to be taken into account to adopt it.
Upgrade 8 has been released on December 20th, 2017.
Upgrade 8 improves application performance and UI, enables deployment to Docker containers and also provides integration with China's major platforms, among other features and improvements.

Regarding GXflow, this upgrade features scalability and stability improvements. Licenses are stored in the database to improve scalability and ability to run in Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
Integration to China's major notification and payment platforms
- Users with Informix version less than 11, mush change Informix Version property to "7.31 to 10.X"
- iOS requirements changed: XCode 9.2.x is required. The minimum supported iOS version in devices is 9. More information at Apple Requirements.
- Background Image of the Main Table may be resized due to default Layout Behavior settings for filling the screen on iPhone X.
- Several other UI improvements in Smart Devices that may affect your UI.
This upgrade requires Licenses to be upgraded.
