Overview

GeneXus X Evolution 3 Upgrade 4 improves Responsive Web Design among other improvements and bug fixes.

Web Development

• A new Abstract Editor makes Responsive Web Design easier
• Many improvements and bug fixes to web apps built using Smooth Web User Experience and/or Responsive Web Design
• .NET : Send and receive emails with Exchange Online, Exchange Server 2013, Office 365 

Android specific

• Transformations support added!
• GetMyLocation() function improvement to get location info more precise (SAC #38095)
• Submit command support added (Take into account Smart Devices Submit considerations)
• Forecolor property of class is used in SD Linear Gauge (More Information...)

Navigation Improvements

• Navigation is improved when no Order clause is specified explicitly in for each with Server Paging or Unique Clause. Read Order Clause Specification considerations for more information.

IDE

• New property in Pattern Work With 'Call Transactions Only If Work With Applied' avoids inconsistencies in calls, specification warnings and execution errors. SAC 38114

Compatibility Notes for X Evolution 3 Upgrade 3 Users

• .NET: Fix related to tdiff function and empty values, may affect compatibility: SAC 37384
• Some cases of Implicit Order Clause Specification have been improved (changed) when using Server Paging or Unique Clause. Records may be returned / processed in a different order if no Order clause has been set. To avoid the compatibility issue set Order clause to specify the order you need. To detect navigation changes use Navigation Comparer.
• Encrypt URL parameters property is taken into account in dynamic call when Expand dynamic calls property is set to 'No' SAC 27991.
• GAM:
  • Using Facebook Authentication Type: See Updating Facebook API to version 2.4 in apps using GAM - not required.
  • Using GAM Facebook, Google or Twitter Authentication Type: See the required changes in GAM Authentication Types configuration for Ruby and Java (SAC 38395).  - required.
  • Using Google Authentication Type: See the required changes in GAM Google Authentication Type changes in the app configuration (SAC 38396). - required.
  • Ruby generator does not support Facebook, Google, or Twitter Authentication Types in upgrade 4.
  • Ruby generated apps do not work on apps4.genexus.com cloud. Use apps2.genexusx.com instead.
• Setup of GeneXus does not support Windows XP and 2003 Server. More Information...
