Overview

This is an important technology and security update. It features generation for Angular 17 in the front end; .NET 8 and Java 21 in the backend.

Design

• The new gx-grid-column-hidden property allows to hide/show a column in a Grid of a Panel.
• It is possible to customize the size of the columns of a Grid in a Panel with the gx-grid-column-size property.

Backend

• .NET
  • Generate Observability span property to automatically associate telemetry information to related GeneXus objects.
  • New Log Output property value to deploy logs to Azure Application Insights. SAC #56313
• API
  • New Description annotation to add a documentation text to each API Object method.

Technology update, installation requirements update, and main compatibility aspects

• Angular 17
• .NET: .NET 8 SDK is required.
• Java: The Gradle version was upgraded to 8.4, making it possible to build KBs with JDK 21.
