Public GeneXus Servers are a set of free services provided by GeneXus for all the GeneXus Community.
There are two service categories, namely Sandbox and Open, based on different scenarios. Services in each category are customized for their intended use and their usage policies vary accordingly.
This service category is intended for anyone willing to try and experiment using GeneXus Server. It’s a free service for all the GeneXus Community. Every GeneXus Account has permissions to publish Knowledge Bases, and freely use those published by others.
There is a Sandbox service for each active GeneXus version detailed in the list below.
Note: There is no limit to the number of Knowledge Bases each user may publish in these services, but given that they are oriented to test and trials, the Knowledge Bases will be automatically deleted after 15 days of inactivity. If you want your Knowledge Base to live longer, you may ask GeneXus to move it to another service in a more appropriate category.
The Open category is intended for Knowledge Bases shared with the GeneXus Community. Any open source project may use these services for free. For instance, development contests held by GeneXus usually require the projects to be open source and are hosted in one of these services.
Here you will also find many Knowledge Bases that GeneXus has shared with the GeneXus Community. Any Community member may also share Knowledge Bases in these services. In order to share a Knowledge Base please email us at email@example.com
