Logical Unit of Work (LUW)

Official Content
This documentation is valid for:

By default, the LUW’s scope is the entire transaction (e.g.: in a two-level transaction, after entering the header and the lines). The information is stored by levels, but the LUW is the entire transaction. There is an implicit Commit in the generated source at the end of each transaction.

By default, the LUW’s scope is the entire program. There is Commit included at the end of the source generated for the procedure. It is possible to define a different scope by using Commit and Rollback commands at any point in the program.
